Junipine is surrounded by towering pine trees, which brings to mind the aroma of burning campfires, and the serenade of crickets in the night and clean air.

In 1926 the first nine cabins were built, they named these "rustic" cabins Junipine after a landmark tree, an intertwined juniper and ponderosa pine that had grown together.

In spring and summer, Oak Creek Canyon comes to life with the bloom of its lush foliage and the playful activities of its natural wildlife. Daytime temperatures are comfortably warm, and the nights are cool and relaxing. Fall is a favorite time for many, with its explosion of color and cool, daytime temperatures ideal for exploring the surroundings. In winter, if you are lucky enough to experience a light dusting of snow, you are in for a treat. Light a fire in your private fireplace, pour a cup of hot chocolate, and sit back and watch nature create a winter wonderland like you have never seen.

Each of the 50 Creekhouses is equipped with two luxurious bedrooms and baths, a full-service kitchen, and a spacious living room with a fireplace and separate dining area. The kids will especially love the loft that comes with some floor plans. You'll find your private wooden deck to be the ideal spot to catch an afternoon nap or to spend time with that book you've been wanting to read.

Imagine fly fishing at the base of a 1500-foot canyon, in crystal-clear water, with the tourist crowds a distant memory. Bask in the morning sun on your private deck while encapsulated in a novel for the ages. Embark on a vigorous hiking expedition to the 7000-foot rim overlooking Junipine, and pristine Oak Creek Canyon.

Grand Canyon National Park is a scenic 1 1/2-hour drive to the northwest, offering more than you expect from any picture or movie that has ever featured this Wonder of the World. Day tours can be scheduled to depart from Junipine, and offer catered lunches and guided hikes.

Junipine Cafe
Junipine Cafe, located on property at Junipine Resort, features some of the best food in Oak Creek Canyon. This rustic, all-pine dining room is accented with a stone fireplace for dining on cool winter nights, and a large outdoor deck to enjoy the 300 sunny days per year that Oak Creek Canyon is blessed with. Check out the Junipine Resort site for examples of menu selections.
