The global internet vote to determine the "New 7 Wonders of the World" is now complete! In 200 B.C. Philo of Byzantium wanted to create a list of human civilization's most masterful architectural accomplishments. The "Seven Wonders of the World" are what resulted from that list.

The original list:

The Hanging Gardens of Babylon
The Colossus of Rhodes
The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
The Temple of Artemis
The Light Tower of Alexandria
The Statue of Zeus
The Pyramids of Egypt

Descriptions of the Ancient 7 Wonders of the World

All 7 of the these wonders were constructed more than 2000 years ago and only one - The Pyramids of Giza, still stands. The idea of the project is to add those architectural projects constructed in the last 2000 years that are also masterful accomplishments.
