Ponderosa Stables
Located on the south side of the city of Phoenix, nestled in the foothills of South Mountain are both Ponderosa Stables and
South Mountain Stables. Together, these stables have provided public horseback riding for over 20 years.
They have more than 20 miles of trails which cover more than 18,500 acres of South Mountain Park - the largest municipal park in the world.
Both stables feature lead rides, check for rates per hour. At Ponderosa you can take a breakfast ride,
hayride, cookout and riding lessons. YOu can also enjoy a steak dinner on the T-Bone steak House Ride.
Here you can buy your own steak or chicken dinner before riding back to the stables under a starry night sky.
