 AFFAN | Mom's Groups | Rotary
Formed originally under the auspices of Welcome Wagon in the 1980's, AFFAN attained independent status several years ago.
Our current membership of almost 200 includes many newcomers, but this is not a membership requirement.
Many of us have moved to Arizona from all over the United States and elsewhere in the world leaving family,
friends and neighbors far behind. Our main purpose and objectives are to provide an immediate opportunity to become
acquainted with others in the community, provide an atmosphere of friendliness, goodwill, and helpful information about
the local community for all club members. While our primary purpose is social in nature, we support a community charity.
AFFAN holds monthly meetings with varied programs and speakers, as well as several social functions throughout the year.
Many diverse activity groups such as Book Lovers (day), Book Review (night), Bowling, Bridge, Bunco (night), Canasta (day),
Dining with Friends (eve), Dominoes, Euchre (day & night), Explore Arizona, Game Night, Make & Take, Mah Jongg, Out To Lunch Bunch,
Quilters, Social, and Stitch & Chat which provide members with additional opportunities to participate in activities that interest them.
AFFAN fills a need for the women of Ahwatukee. Many lasting friendships have been made between members.
